Solidarity Youth Movement

Kerala JIH’s youth wing, Solidarity Youth Movement, came into existence on the 13th of May 2003. Solidarity’s work culture comprises of both service and strife. Solidarity’s commitment to public issues was well demonstrated by its involvement in the agitations related to Endosulphan, Kinaloor, Chengara, Moolampally, NH development, Eviction of coastal dwellers, Neglect of Malabar and Chamravattom project. Housing for more than a thousand homeless people, Comprehensive Endosulphan Rehabilitation Project , Drinking water projects for nearly a hundred villages and the Urban rebuilding project for the slum infested West Kochi (SUNRISE Kochi) are few of the service ventures of Solidarity that has found state wide acclaim. It has also released many issue centric books and CDs. “Solidarity Pathrika”, published every quarter, is the official organ of the movement.
